Veebeam Video PlayTo file compatibility/support

Veebeam’s Video PlayTo mode relies upon the video and audio encoders/decoders (‘codecs’) installed on your Laptop in order to play media files on your TV. Lack of a suitable codec on your the Laptop is the most common cause for the Veebeam Player not being able to play a file.

To ensure the highest level of media compatibility (as well as quality) in Video PlayTo mode, we recommend that you load the latest audio/video codecs on your Laptop.

The easiest way to get support for a variety of audio/video formats is to install a ‘codec pack’. Codec packs contain an assortment of common audio/video codecs and save you the hassle of installing them individually. Below is a list of several commonly used codec packs for both Windows and OS X.

Please Note: The codec packs rederenced below are not created nor maintained by Veebeam. They are separate products and managed by organisations completely independent of Veebeam. However, at the time of writing, they have been tested and seen to be compatible with the Veebeam product.
